Relaxing Read

So I found another nice spot to practice backgrounds. This one I was smart and sketched in the pony at the same time as the background to make sure I didn't mess up the proportions on the background. She's also at a bit of an odd angle, so that was a fun challenge.

So if you can't tell, that dark bit across the field is a small pond. Its hard to differentiate when everything is so dark already and you only have a few shades to work with... Though I had to mess with Paint.net to get the lighter shading to show up. The scanner lightens up my stuff apparently.

More messing around with bubbly trees. This was a much darker setting than the last pic, most of it was in the shade. And it is all much closer to the perspective of the viewer.

So fun times.
Edit: Now she has wings lol.
